Mariam Lagrine's story

I’ve always been drawn to hospitality – there is something that has allowed me to find myself and to discover true enjoyment in what I do. Hospitality is where I can explore my interests and where I can continuously grow. It has always been my first career choice and it will remain so, because this choice was based on conviction and love.

I became a pastry chef through vocational training at schools and work experience at various major restaurants. I have also had the great opportunity to practice and learn outside of Morocco, and I’ve benefited greatly from this experience.

The word Heartist® has a really deep meaning and depth to it. To be a Heartist® requires one to have perseverance and hard work, something we all strive for, but it is very rewarding to call yourself one.

I cannot name one proudest moment or a highlight of my career, it is every time I see a smile from my customers or colleagues, when I know I have made their day happier and brighter.

To anyone who is interested joining our amazing industry, I say come with commitment and eagerness to work and learn, and we will welcome you with an open heart. Belonging to a team and place is a feeling that will make you stay in hospitality for a long time.
