Danuta Jabłońska's story
My adventure with the hotel industry began very by accident. I came to Warsaw to study my dream, but unfortunately I had to take care of myself to be able to realize my plans. The first job I took was in gastronomy, which allowed me to combine work and study. I have always liked traveling. During one of my trips, I met a friend who was already working in one of our hotels. After some time, I wanted to change my job, to something more stable, something that would give me a sense of security.
And so, at the suggestion of a friend, in 2004 I ended up in a hotel, specifically in gastronomy, with which I am associated to this day. The beginnings were not easy, a lot of documentation, procedures, audits, but the atmosphere at work, the people who surrounded me made me like my job very much. Working in a hotel restaurant at first as a waitress, then a shift manager and currently as a deputy manager for gastronomy, I have a huge opportunity to develop my skills. I also had the opportunity to get to know work in other departments of the hotel.
Hospitality is a priority in our work, I love meeting new people, conversations that allow us to discover what guests expect from us. And the satisfaction of our guests is very important to me, I am happy that they come back to us.
Working in a hotel also gives me great opportunities to meet new people, their culture and country. And this in turn encourages me to travel around the world. I am also lucky to work with wonderful people, with a well-managed management team, on whose help and support I can count at any time.
I would recommend working at Accor primarily because of the stability of employment, the possibility of professional development, but also the great atmosphere. I would also add the very great advantages of using our hotels around the world, during private trips – the all Heartist® program.
