Maintenance is my art, a way to express myself. I am a curious person who likes to transform the impossible into the possible. To see things as constantly evolving and changing.

I have over 24 years of experience in maintenance. I spent nearly 16 years in industrial maintenance, where I learned a lot about maintenance and was challenged several times to reach new limits.

I’ve always been a person who likes new challenges. About 6 years ago, I was challenged to enter the hotel maintenance industry, through maintenance on cruise ships on the Douro River. It was a big change, which made me wake up to a new reality, a reality that made me fall in love with hotel maintenance and that makes me constantly challenge myself to always be better. Seeing the impact that satisfaction has on a customer’s journey and seeing that often no one notices all the work I do is magnificent. I can even say that I am part of a team of magicians.

I started a new journey, this work of science, magic and art nearly five years ago at Mercure Porto Centro Alidos. I have been part of the team that created this hotel since 2020.

I helped to set up and open this great hotel and since day one it has been a huge challenge, both due to the reality of Covid and always trying to help and maintain this hotel as the best Mercure in the world. This hotel has also helped me discover new talents, as I see the customer experience well beyond my so-called duties.

I have always tried to help all departments to have an excellent working environment, to be united and to make our hotel a reference within the Accor group. I love feeling part of a big family and being able to work for a company that treats its employees in a special way and in such a way that we feel good. very warm and cared for.

I have been challenged with new projects to improve the hotel, namely the design and construction of a bar in the terrace and pool area, improving the appearance of our garden or improving the rainwater drainage system, for example.

I really like the whole environment and security that this job gives me and my whole family and the opportunity to feel valued and loved by the entire company.
