Abdelfattah Baatoze's story
I started my career in the hotel industry after graduating from hotel management school. I was passionate about the field of catering, marketing, customer relations, and I just knew that that is my path. Hospitality offers me everything I’ve always liked and wanted to do.
Right after my studies I started working as a waiter at the ibis Casablanca hotel restaurant. The hotel management team gave me the opportunity to understand customer service, the meaning of communication and allowed me to learn how to multitask. After that, I was lucky enough to improve my skills and access the accommodation department as a receptionist, which I really like.
At Accor, I like its hospitality qualities and its opportunities for development and advancement in the tourism sector. For me, a Heartist® is an employee who works with their heart, with passion and is responsible for their professional decisions. All three elements really allow you to grow at Accor.
A highlight of my career is participating in new openings of Accor hotels, which always encourages me to improve my professional skills and develop my career.
To any newcomer to hospitality and Accor, I would say,- be a Heartist® in the true sense of the word. Be versatile and practice all services to improve your experiences in the field, and your work and dedication will pay off.
